large open pond; a few nyssa in middle, but mostly just young P. tade for trees in depression; surrounding pond is P. taeda, P. palustris, liquidambar, Q. nigra, Q. laurifolia, R. coppalina, I. coriaceae, L. mariana,S. walterii; in depression mostly L. melissifolia, and W. virginica, with grasses, sedges; E. half had dense podnberry; W. half much less so
